Time to introduce my newest feature..
It’s pretty darn random..
I took the question idea and cut you all out..
I think people were afraid of me and didn’t want to ask any questions..
Yet one person did..
And every week the questions got better and better..
So that led me to an idea!!!!
LIGHTBULB EFFECT!
Gonna continue with the question theme.. Just instead of Marty asking me questions each week.. I will ask him three and he in turn will ask me three.
Who knows how bad we can get?And how goofy?…
Marty Wombacher s a published author and creator of many cool blogs.
Right now his probably coolest one is going down.. It’s called tripping with Marty..
You can check it out here:
Let’s go on a trip!
Now I am editing this and listening to the “Secret Weapon” on woody radio… and since I am dancing around the office my answers might be a wee fun…
SO HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS FOR MARTY!
How old were you when you lost the big V?
I was 19 years old. Amazing what penicillin can do…you were talking about Venereal Disease, right?
What childhood candy do you wish you could still find?
My grandma used to give me maple candy when I was a kid and I’ve never been able to find it since. I’d love to have a piece to bring back those memories.
Revolver or the white album?
Revolver for sure! It’s my favorite Beatles album and I remember being a kid in Louisville, Kentucky when Johnny Saag who lived down the street came running down and told me and my brother Jim that his sister had the new Beatles album. We ran to his house and his 16-year-old sister and her friends were listening to it and reluctantly let us listen too. We passed the album around and marveled at the Klaus Voorman collage on the cover and the photo of the Beatles wearing sunglasses on the back cover. I’ll never forget when “Tomorrow Never Knows” came on and his sister and her friends turned up their noses and said they didn’t like the song at all. I loved it and to this day it’s one of my favorite Beatles songs. I really think they peaked with this album.
AND TURNAROUND IS FAIR PLAY.. THESE ARE MARTYS’S QUESTIONS FOR MOI!
What’s your most embarrassing high school moment?
Oh besides the dance party USA?
High school is meant to be embarrassing. That being said I can only think of a few things I regret.
Everyone has those period starting with light pants stories..
I don’t have any of those..
I think the most embarrassing moment might have been when I took a few diet pills I bought in the back of a playboy magazine and instead of making me less hungry I ate three snickers bars and fell asleep in Photo class.
Everyone falls asleep.. Right? Well this was during my slide presentation.
I made an ass of myself a lot but I usually just brushed it off.
Mostly I probably made an ass of myself talking to the cute guys who really found me annoying and far to short to consider a human.
I just heard they’re remaking “Raging Bull,” which to me is a big mistake. What’s the worst remake of a movie in your opinion?
OH I can think of quite a few! Was the “Rock and Roll High School Forever” a remake or a sequel?
The remake of prom night a few years back.. Was very very stupid and less fun. Why don’t they remake “Terror Train” while they are at it?
Remaking old 80’s horror films in a pg format when in today’s age they can go overboard if they want ala Rob Zombify it drives me nuts.
I won’t see any of the new reboots..
Why would anyone see Footloose once let alone twice in one lifetime.
As far as the very very worst?
Thinking…..
“The Desperate Hours” and “The Out Of Towners”
But to make your stomach hurt a little less.. my two fave remakes which I think are btter than the originals are “Cape Fear” and “Imitation of Life”
And seriously even though it’s not a remake..Just sorta a better version of the book.. “Return to OZ”
What do you think is the best job in the world?
A mom..
You get rewarded daily…
And kisses and hugs are the best payments ever.. And when they succeed and go off to college it’s like a promotion.
(And in some cases Dad is pretty darn cool too)(Or if you have to be both)
Nice feature!
Have fun with it kids!
I’ll be anticipating the wackiness and new personal insights each week.
This was a lot of fun, Gidget! Your answer to the best job in the world was great! And as far as movie remakes, the one that pissed me off was Steve Martin remaking the Pink Panther. I loved those movies and Peter Sellers and thought it was a disrespectful thing to do. Loved the two “Tomorrow Never Knows” videos! Thanks for finding them and posting them! Now I’m off to think of next week’s questions!
OH funny cause Steve Martin ruined the Out of towners too!
